Mohammed Abdur Rajak


Mohammed Abdur Rajak was born and brought up in Huddersfield to Pakistani parents, who later moved to Glasgow, Scotland. His family is running a successful retail business and has over the years gained substantial knowledge to expand the business.

A former student of the University of Stirling, Rajak after studying Accounting and Finance, went on to do his Master in Business IT. He is currently looking to do PhD in social change and religious impact that accompanied the migrants from India/Pakistan before, during and after the Partition in 1947.

In 2002, Rajak joined Ucare Foundation to promote its charitable causes. The Ucare chairman strongly believes that Foundation's projects help maintain the link between migrants and their roots back home in Pakistan.

The earlier migrants to this country came with the hope that they will work hard to make money to help the families back home, but ended up becoming residents of this country. Now some has established successful businesses and some are leading professionals giving back generously to those who need the most, the poor and vulnerable in rural Pakistan.

Abdur Rajak has strong family values and is a keen genealogist. He keeps in touch with extended family across the world. He is married and has three children.
